2026 Summer Internship

We’re looking for curious minds who love to build, break, and improve things. This summer, join us for a hands-on internship where you’ll work with React or .NET, ship real features, and learn what it actually means to be part of an engineering team.

A 2-month paid internship (6 hours/day) where you'll be matched with a mentor and work side by side on an exciting project that will challenge and grow your Engineering skills.

Lateral’s Internship Experience

At Lateral, our summer internship blends hands-on engineering work with opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow. You’ll work closely with your mentor and team on real projects, while also taking part in knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and informal meetups with other interns.

We aim to create an environment where you can learn quickly, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully from day one.

Our internship requires interns to be present in the office (Cluj or Târgu Mureș) at least 3 days per week.

The process:

1. Apply until the 6th of May

Submitting a complete application is the first step in the process. This is your chance to showcase what makes you stand out: your talent, your curiosity, and the way you think. We take the time to carefully read every application and are genuinely excited to discover what makes you unique.

2. Technical assessment

A short technical assessment designed to better understand your skills and problem-solving approach. This is your chance to showcase how you think and code in practice.

3. Talent Team chat

This short introductory call with our people team is a chance for us to get to know you better: your background, interests, and motivations, as well as for you to learn more about the internship and ask any questions you might have.

4. Craft assessment interview

The technical interview will take place in person at our office, where you’ll have the opportunity to walk us through your thinking and approach in a real-world setting.

5. Decision

Time to celebrate! Successful applicants are offered the opportunity to join teams based on their interests, skills, and experiences.
